
JACKSON COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI — The D’Iberville community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of 25-year-old Adonis Simms, whose life was tragically cut short following an early-morning crash on Interstate 10 in Jackson County. Family, friends, and loved ones are now facing the unimaginable pain of saying goodbye to a young woman who had so much life still ahead of her.
According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol, troopers were called to a serious crash on I-10 at approximately 3:15 a.m. Sunday. When authorities arrived, they found a 2020 Kia Forte that had left the roadway and collided with a pole. Simms was driving the vehicle eastbound when it ran off the road before the devastating impact. Despite the circumstances of the crash, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
The news of her passing has undoubtedly brought profound sorrow to those who knew her. At only 25 years old, Adonis was at an age when there should have been countless more opportunities to create memories, celebrate milestones, pursue dreams, and spend precious time with the people she loved. Instead, her family and friends are left trying to comprehend a loss that came without warning.
