The Florence County community is mourning the heartbreaking deaths of Darnissa Ford, 39, and Leon Ford II, 36, who were found dead Monday, August 24, at a residence in the 500 block of East McIver Road in Florence County, South Carolina. Their sudden deaths have left family members, friends, and loved ones struggling to process a devastating loss while authorities continue searching for answers.

According to the Florence County Sheriff’s Office, both Darnissa and Leon died in a shooting. Sheriff T.J. Joye confirmed that the incident is being investigated as a double fatal shooting, while Florence County Coroner Keith Von Lutcken identified the two people who lost their lives.
