The Honobia community is grieving the heartbreaking loss of Chelsea Patterson, 37, whose life was tragically cut short Tuesday afternoon following a devastating vehicle crash in LeFlore County. The fatal collision happened at approximately 2:30 p.m. on U.S. 259 at Zafra Road, just south of Octavia, Oklahoma. According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Chelsea’s vehicle collided with a commercial vehicle driven by 27-year-old Deonta Robertson of Fort Smith, Arkansas, who had reportedly slowed down to make a turn.

The impact caused Chelsea’s vehicle to overturn, and she was ejected from the vehicle. She was pronounced dead following the crash.
