According to the Killeen Police Department, officers responded to the area at approximately 10:07 a.m. following a report of shots fired. When officers arrived, they discovered an unconscious man lying in the roadway suffering from a gunshot wound.

Despite efforts to save him at the scene, Ronald did not survive his injuries. Justice of the Peace Gregory Johnson identified him as Ronald D’Andre Horne, 30, and pronounced him deceased at approximately 10:34 a.m.

The heartbreaking news has left those who knew Ronald facing the painful reality of losing someone at just 30 years old. A life that still held so much promise was suddenly taken, leaving family and friends to cope with an absence they never expected.
