A quiet Saturday afternoon in Goldsboro, North Carolina, turned into a devastating scene after police responded to a home on West Oak Street following reports of a shooting.

Officers were called to 607 W. Oak St. at approximately 5:15 p.m. When they arrived, they found two 20-year-old men suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The victims were identified as Nasire Green of Goldsboro and Tristen Mason of Dudley.

Despite the efforts of emergency personnel, both men were pronounced dead at the scene. Their deaths have sent shockwaves through the community, leaving families and friends struggling to understand how two young lives could be taken so suddenly.
