The early hours of the morning brought heartbreaking tragedy to Hartford after 32-year-old Texidor lost his life in a shooting that also injured four other people. What began as a violent incident near Wethersfield Avenue left one family mourning an unimaginable loss while four other victims were left receiving medical treatment.

According to authorities, officers were dispatched to the area of 737 Wethersfield Ave. at approximately 1:40 a.m. after receiving a ShotSpotter alert reporting possible gunfire. When officers arrived, they encountered a large crowd gathered in the area and found Texidor unresponsive.

Emergency medical personnel responded and attempted to provide assistance, but Texidor was pronounced dead at the scene. His death has left his family, friends, and loved ones facing the devastating reality of losing someone suddenly and violently.

Police said four additional people were struck by gunfire during the incident. Two men, one in his 30s and another in his 20s, reportedly traveled by private vehicle to a local hospital for treatment. Both suffered gunshot wounds and were listed in stable condition.

A second nearby hospital also contacted police after two more shooting victims arrived for medical attention. Those victims included another man in his 30s and a woman. The male victim was reported to be in critical but stable condition, while the woman was listed in stable condition.

With five people struck by gunfire in total, the shooting has left a community searching for answers. Four victims survived the violence but are now facing the physical and emotional aftermath of the incident. Their conditions ranged from stable to critical but stable as they continued receiving medical care.

For Texidor’s loved ones, however, the pain is far more permanent. At only 32 years old, he had years ahead of him to make memories, build relationships, and experience the moments that make life meaningful. Instead, his life was suddenly cut short, leaving those closest to him with memories and a painful absence.
