Shortly before 10:30 p.m. Friday, a vehicle carrying the four young men went off an elevated portion of the interstate at the split of I-77 and I-64 in Charleston. According to the Charleston Police Department, the vehicle went over the side of the elevated roadway and fell into a lot in the 1100 block of Pennsylvania Avenue.

All four men were pronounced dead at the scene.

Police identified the victims Monday, confirming that James McDaniel, Colten Garcia, Kaden Ashby and Kaiden Radford were all from Raleigh County.

The news has left families, friends and members of the community facing an unimaginable loss. At just 20 and 21 years old, the four men had so much life ahead of them, with dreams still to pursue, memories still to create and countless moments still waiting to be shared with the people they loved.

Instead, their families are now being forced to say goodbye far sooner than anyone could have imagined.
