Garrett was last seen near Calvin Howard Road in Lancing, and authorities had warned that he suffered from a medical condition that could have prevented him from returning home safely. Search teams, emergency responders, volunteers, and local officials worked tirelessly throughout the day, with helicopters assisting in the search. Sadly, the search ended when Garrett was found deceased. Officials have not yet released his cause of death, and the investigation remains ongoing.
