BUFORD, GEORGIA — With heavy hearts, family, friends, and community members are remembering Marvin Wiley, 23, of Atlanta, who died following a triple shooting near 1400 Laurel Crossing Parkway in Buford on September 5, 2026.

According to the Gwinnett County Police Department, the shooting involved three people and resulted in Marvin’s death. He sustained gunshot wounds and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Detectives have stated that they believe Marvin was involved in an armed robbery connected to the incident. The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation, and authorities continue working to determine the full sequence of events that led to the deadly confrontation.

Police said another person, Ortagus Bennett, was also shot during the incident. Responding officers located Bennett and transported him to a hospital, where he was reported to be in stable condition.

Detectives also identified E’imod Sanchez Toboris Taylor as another suspect in the case. Taylor was injured during the incident and taken into custody. Authorities said Taylor faces charges of felony murder, armed robbery, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of certain felonies.

Police believe the shooting was an isolated incident and have said there is no known ongoing threat to the public.
