CHOCTAW, OKLAHOMA — With profound sorrow, family, friends, and community members are mourning the loss of Kaitie Tabor, 25, a Choctaw mother of six who died Thursday night following a single-vehicle crash.

According to Choctaw Police, the crash occurred near Northeast 23rd Street and McDonald Road at approximately 7 p.m. on September 3. Kaitie was driving at the time of the crash, and all six of her children were inside the vehicle.

Authorities said the children range in age from three months to seven years old. All six were injured and transported to a local hospital for medical care. Police Chief Kelly Marshall said the children were listed in stable condition, offering a measure of hope during an otherwise devastating time.

Police said Kaitie and a 3-month-old infant were ejected from the vehicle during the crash. Investigators are continuing to work to determine what led to the collision and are seeking a warrant to access the vehicle’s data recorder.
