A heartbreaking tragedy unfolded Friday night when two teenagers lost their lives in a violent multi-vehicle crash near Ridgecrest Road and Elmwood Drive. The sudden deaths of 17-year-old Maddalyn Dailey and her 16-year-old passenger have left families, friends, and the surrounding community struggling with an unimaginable loss.

The California Highway Patrol said officers responded to the area at approximately 8:35 p.m. after receiving reports of a serious multi-vehicle collision. When first responders arrived, they discovered three vehicles involved in the crash and found a scene marked by the devastating force of the impact.

According to the CHP’s preliminary investigation, a yellow Camaro and a black Charger were traveling northbound on Ridgecrest Road at a high rate of speed. At the same time, an Acura was entering the intersection from Elmwood Drive when the collision occurred.

The impact was so severe that authorities said the Acura was split in half. Inside the vehicle were two teenagers whose lives would tragically come to an end that night.

The driver of the Acura was identified as 17-year-old Maddalyn Dailey. Her passenger, a 16-year-old teenager, has not yet been publicly identified. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.
