The Rodman community is grieving the heartbreaking loss of Kaylee McWayne, 17, of Rodman, New York, who died Saturday night following a devastating motorcycle collision in the Town of Adams. Her sudden passing has left family, friends, and loved ones struggling to come to terms with the loss of a young life that ended far too soon.

The fatal crash occurred shortly before 10 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Fuller Road and Caird Road, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities identified Kaylee as the rider of a motorcycle traveling along Fuller Road when a pickup truck driven by Lewis Robertson of Watertown reportedly turned left from Caird Road into the motorcycle’s path.

The motorcycle collided with the pickup truck, leaving Kaylee with injuries that ultimately claimed her life. The condition of the other driver was not reported.

Emergency responders were faced with the devastating aftermath of a collision that would forever change the lives of those who knew Kaylee. The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
