The Waco community is grieving the heartbreaking loss of 28-year-old Victor Jesus Silva-Delgadillo, who died following a shooting Sunday evening, August 23, 2026. According to the Waco Police Department, officers were called to the 3600 block of North 20th Street at approximately 5:02 p.m. after receiving reports of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found Victor suffering from a gunshot wound. A second victim, a 19-year-old man, was also found suffering from injuries.

Officers immediately began life-saving measures before both victims were transported to a local hospital by AMR. Despite emergency efforts, Victor was pronounced deceased. The 19-year-old victim was expected to survive his injuries.

At only 28 years old, Victor’s life ended in a sudden and tragic moment, leaving those who knew him with grief that cannot easily be put into words.
