The early morning hours brought devastating news to family, friends, and members of the Tolland community after Mark Morgan tragically lost his life following a shooting. Connecticut State Police said troopers assigned to Troop C in Tolland responded to the area at approximately 4 a.m. after receiving a report of a suspicious incident.

When troopers arrived at the property, they discovered a person suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Emergency personnel responded to the scene, but despite their efforts, the victim was pronounced dead.

The victim was later identified by his family as Mark Morgan. Authorities have not released his age or provided extensive details about his life, leaving those who knew him to grieve his sudden and unexpected passing.

For Morgan’s loved ones, the news has brought tremendous pain and unanswered questions. A life that was being lived among family, friends, and loved ones was suddenly taken, leaving behind memories and a heartbreaking absence that will not easily be filled.

A second individual was also located at the property and detained by responding officers. Authorities have not publicly identified that person or clarified whether an arrest has been made or whether criminal charges will follow.

Around 6 a.m., multiple State Police vehicles were observed outside the property, while a trooper was positioned along Parker Road behind the residence. Police tape blocked the driveway as investigators continued examining the area.
