Wednesday evening brought heartbreaking news to family, friends, neighbors and members of the Dearing community with the sudden death of 48-year-old Tangla Brown following a tragic vehicle crash in McDuffie County, Georgia. Her unexpected passing has left those who knew her struggling with grief and trying to comprehend how quickly everything changed.

According to the McDuffie County Coroner’s Office, the crash occurred at approximately 5:07 p.m. in the 2700 block of Old Milledgeville Road near Wire Road. Tangla was traveling east when her vehicle left the roadway. She attempted to correct its path, but the vehicle crossed the center line, left the opposite side of the road and entered a wooded area.

Emergency personnel and authorities responded to the scene. Tangla was pronounced deceased at approximately 5:45 p.m., according to the coroner’s office.

The sudden loss of a loved one is never easy, but an unexpected tragedy can leave behind a particularly painful sense of disbelief. For Tangla’s family and friends, the memories they shared with her will now become treasured reminders of a woman who meant so much to them.

Tangla will be remembered for much more than the circumstances surrounding her final moments. A heartfelt tribute shared following her death described how she loved and lived for her two sons, her grandson, her friends and her beloved dog, Medusa.

She was remembered as someone who knew how to enjoy life and, just as importantly, knew how to be a friend when life was difficult. She was there through the good times and the bad, creating memories with people who will now carry those moments with them.

For her loved ones, the reality of her passing may still feel impossible to accept. The words shared in her memory expressed the disbelief and pain of losing someone so suddenly: “Really cannot believe what happened today is real.”

Tangla’s family and friends are now left with countless memories of laughter, conversations, shared experiences and the everyday moments that once seemed ordinary but have now become priceless.

Rest in peace, Tangla. Your life mattered, your memory will endure, and you will be deeply missed.
